There’s nothing more special than watching two people so in love, commit to each other in front of their closest family and friends. Nicole and Brendon are two souls that were always meant to be. Be enchanted by their love story, and every single element from their special day xx
Tell us about your love story and proposal?
Brendon and I met when working in a bar/restaurant together. Never did I ever think Brendon would ask me out on a date to see VIVID lights in circular quay, and little did I know it was an official date as I never thought Brendon was interested in me. After our first date, our connection grew stronger than ever and we knew from that very first date that there was something very special there.
The proposal was nothing I would ever imagine because it was so perfect and I couldn’t believe how much thought Brendon had put in to it. I was blown away.
Brendon took me out for dinner followed by a romantic walk in circular quay where we had our first date. We stopped in front of the harbor bridge, he then showed me a video which he had composed of all the images we’ve taken around the world of us holding hands, to which he then had me turn around to capture one more image to add to the collection. Whilst I was turned around, Brendon got down on one knee and by this point I was already bursting with happy tears and couldn’t wait to turn around and say “YES!”.
While this was all amazing, little did I know Brendon had friends video the whole proposal. From here, Brendon took me to a surprise gathering location full of both our close friends and family to share the special news (which they were already aware of except me haha). I couldn’t ask or imagined a more beautiful way to be proposed to, it was truly something I’ll never forget.
How did you find your wedding planning experience?
At times it can be overwhelming, but I wouldn’t change the experience for anything. It’s a day for you and your husband to truly enjoy such a special milestone and you deserve to have it perfect the way you’ve always dreamed. We didn’t let anyone influence our decisions; we based our wedding on us and how we wanted it.
Any advice to other couples?
Some advice I would give is just to enjoy the whole experience, the good and even the bad because it is an experience and it’s yours! Nothing can go wrong, it’s the most beautiful magical day and nothing will stop you and your partner from enjoying it. Everyone says the day goes quick, and it does! Which is why I say to just enjoy the day as it comes.
What was your wedding day highlight?
For me it was walking down the aisle seeing Brendon’s face as he smiled with tears in his eyes, it was the most beautiful feeling being surrounded by everyone who loves us witness us share our love for each other as husband and wife. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget!
Anything you would change?
Honestly, no. Brendon and I still reminisce about our wedding day and talk about how we loved every aspect of it.
